The best part is the student can simply ignore what the students have to say or change the essay around. Their suggestions are just suggestions, however, so the student still must go through and write the essay and do the correct formatting to make it match the right guidelines.Not only is the essay to be written correctly but the correct format to include all the necessary information to give students a leg up is important. It is important that the essay stands out in a certain way for it to appear on the test and also to help with the score that the student needs to get pass with flying colors. So I can hear the chorus of critics in the back of my mind that are saying 'you should just leave your writing alone. 'But why write the essay? The essay is there to help students get a leg up in their school's need for the type of students that take the bar exam. And if they pass the bar exam, they are given a lucrative job to do and they need a job because there is so much competition from other schools in the area to have applicants come to work in their classrooms.The students are not allowed to discuss any of the information they learned while they were in class and are only allowed to answer questions. But if they are good at writing and if they learn information well, they can write a lengthy essay to help them pass the bar exam. The essay may seem like an easy assignment but it is not. The student must really sit down and write to the best of their ability.As an educator, I understand the students' concern when their essay is picked for a bar exam and I'm glad that the essay got the attention it deserved. Of course, a student who writes an essay and does it right will also get a good grade for their essay and will make a mark that shows they have great writing skills.
